Mission Accomplished!

We set out to have the final section painted this weekend and we completed the painting on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and the scaffolding dropped on Sunday!

Woo hoo we're done!!!  Good thing because it was getting a little dark!

Wow.  I can't believe how pretty this building has turned out.  It far exceeded our imaginations!  Can't wait to get the rest of the scaffolding down to do a 'before' and 'after' picture!

Dale is lowering the scaffolding.  I've never seen this in action so it was really interesting.  There are three of these metal things and Dale would lower them about 6-9", then move over to the next one.  Slowly working his way down.

He'd put his foot on the brace (or whatever it is called), and while holding it down, would turn the crank to lower it down the support beam.  He said it was much easier going down than going up, which makes perfectly good sense because he didn't have to fight gravity.

He didn't know I was taking a picture as I was helping move this plank! :)

What a great weekend!  Another item off the list, but again it is bittersweet.  While I'm excited to get the building done, a part of me never wants it to end!
