A new beginning

Today we (not me) headed upstairs to begin the demo work on the second floor.  Why today?  Because we were lucky enough to get a rain day and therefore, had some VERY hard-working young men come help us out.  A big thanks to Adam, Trevor and Zach Checkal!!!!!  They saved me SO much work!!!!  You'll see a picture of them below, but you'll need to scroll down quite a ways because it's a real hassle to move pictures around and it's time for me to go to bed.  So.... not much commentary on these pics, but at least you'll get a glimpse of what's going on!!!

So the demo begins....

First you need a dumpster.
A dumpster that's delivered by the Checkal's courtesy of Mikey's Landscaping

Claw-foot tub was on the left.

The first exposed brick on the second floor!  And the black marks would be glue for the lovely panelling that was removed!

No more bathroom and closet!  We can now see from the back door all the way to the front!

Chimney is dwindling because Dale has been removing the bricks and taking them down to the main floor so that Craig can rebuild the window openings.

And this would be Craig.  He does some amazing work!

This was a kitchen.

Half-wall.  Now you see it.

Now you don't.

These are the best guys EVER!  Boy can they do a lot of damage in a short amount of time!!!

Forget removing sinks and toilets.... Dale just took a maul to them!  Both removed in under 30 seconds!
